Facing on the gulf of Florida, the hotel is located near the causeway entrance to the islands of Sanibel and Captiva.  The two-hundred-forty room hotel features a major conference facility as well as a major health club and spa.  The “conch” design incorporates many design elements of the traditional South Florida hotel including one which existed on the site at the turn of the century.   A highly articulated two story continuous veranda minimizes the bulk of the guestroom tower which concentrates most rooms with views to Sanibel and the water.  Meeting spaces open to second floor verandas.
