CombinatoRx, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company that combines pharmaceutical drugs in search of creating new drugs. When these drugs are combined the reaction is documented and a vibrant synergy surface is created. Designers, inspired by CombinatoRx’s synergy surface, created an abstract simplified version and applied it to the design of the sidelights in each office and the lobby floor pattern.

The client requested that the offices and conferencing facilities give an ambiance of sophistication, which is created through the combination of maple and cherry woods, and warm paint tones. Another request from the client was for the design of the cafeteria to compliment the smoke stacks found outside. The concrete countertops, rubber flooring, and metal panels all contribute to the industrial feel.
